Job summary

The Facilities Engineer (Manufacturing Site) role is based at our Manchester operation. You will maintain safety, appearance, and functionality of the site infrastructure, supporting operational continuity through inspections, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, services, and utilities.

Working Monday to Friday (08:00-16:30 Mon-Thu, 08:00-15:30 Fri), you will manage basic maintenance tasks, assist with permit-to-work, record work in the CMMS, and help escort contractors while upholding site rules

Qualifications

  • Experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Facilities, maintenance, building services engineering experience.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
  • Strong safety awareness.
  • IT literacy including Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine inspections and repairs to buildings, offices, welfare facilities, and external infrastructure.
  • Undertake basic maintenance activities including joinery, plumbing, decorating, flooring, door and lock repairs.
  • Maintain site lighting systems and replace lamps where appropriate.
  • Complete planned inspections and statutory checks.
  • Assist with permit-to-work systems and contractor control processes.
  • Take and record utility meter readings including electricity, gas and water.
  • Maintain site cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Support engineering activities during shutdowns and planned maintenance periods.
  • Escort contractors and monitor compliance with site rules.
  • Record completed work using the site CMMS system.

FACILITIES ENGINEER (MANUFACTURING SITE) MONDAY TO FRIDAY, £36-38,000 PLUS BENEFITS. Major European Company, great place to work, friendly site with exciting new phase of development ahead.
The Company

Our client is a leading name in several fields of manufacturing, with a major European and UK presence spanning numerous operational plants. As part of the continued growth of the business they are presently seeking a Facilities Engineer to support for their operation in Manchester.

Hours of work

Monday to Thursday 08.00 – 16.30 and 08.00– 15.30 on Friday

Job Summary

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of the manufacturing site infrastructure.
