Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning staff, ensure high standards, and coordinate with building management. The role involves training, inventory and records management to support a safe and clean environment for educational facilities.

The post requires organizing daily workloads, monitoring materials, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The supervisor will also manage key control and liaise on planning before school closures.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising cleaning staff.
• Ability to plan, organise and control workloads to meet standards.
• Experience delivering induction and refresher training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control the work of cleaning staff to meet EA standards, with supervisor doing cleaning duties.
• Carry out induction and skills training including refresher training.
• Liaise with the building manager on day-to-day issues.
• Investigate complaints and take corrective action.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are stocked within budget and maintained.
• Monitor materials and equipment for suitability and quality.
• Recommend changes to work procedures to improve economy or standards.
• Ensure cleaning standards meet EA standards.
• Allocate and manage keys for staff and secure returns daily.
• Plan periodic work with service users and report to Area Co-ordinator.
