Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a School Cleaner to join the facilities team. The role involves carrying out cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors and facilities, ensuring hygiene, safety and compliance with COSHH and health and safety regulations.

You will work as part of a team and follow instructions from the Cleaning Supervisor. The position requires reliability, ability to work under pressure and adherence to procedures, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• The requirements of a School Cleaner.
• Cleaning methods / machinery.
• Health and Safety requirements relevant to the role, including COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dry buff, spray clean and polish floors.
• Clean carpets and mats with appropriate methods.
• Clean toilets and shower areas and maintain fixtures and fittings.
• Dust ledges, walls and internal surfaces up to 3.35m; remove litter and empty bins.
• Follow Health and Safety, COSHH and related regulations.
