Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is seeking a role focused on safe maintenance and frontline service delivery for educational properties. The post involves collaboration with multiple council services and external contractors to ensure secure, well-maintained buildings.

The ideal candidate may have a trade background or prior building management experience, with willingness to obtain required qualifications for pool safety and strong health/fitness for frontline duties.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required, however a trade background and/or previous building management experience is desirable.
• Ability to work in collaboration with colleagues across multiple services.
• Ability to operate and maintain building systems and security equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide the safe and efficient running of Aberdeen City Council’s educational properties.
• Collaborate with Integrated Children’s and Family Services, Facilities Management and Building Services teams.
• Demonstrate teamwork and initiative in daily frontline maintenance tasks.
• Operate access control, intruder/fire alarm and CCTV systems; use janitorial equipment as needed.
