Aberdeen City Council is seeking a Facilities Assistant for Aberdeen City Music School Halls of Residence. You will support upkeep, safety, and presentation, carrying out minor repairs, decoration and ground maintenance, and assist with supervising contractors on site.

You will need PVG clearance (or willingness) and relevant Health & Safety training, plus mandatory council training. The role involves working in a residential setting with Young People and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• PVG certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Completion of Health & Safety training or willingness to undertake.
• Mandatory training for Aberdeen City Council and social care settings.

Responsabilités

• Carry out internal minor building repairs and ground maintenance.
• Oversee contractors on site during maintenance work.
• Purchase tools and materials following financial regulations.
• Adhere to council values, policies and procedures; ensure child protection awareness.
