Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting a Facilities Assistant - Storekeeper at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The main role is storekeeping: managing orders, deliveries, stock rotation, and delivering store orders to wards and retail outlets daily.

You will ensure HACCP documentation, health and safety compliance, and use equipment like dishwashers, Burlodge trolleys and coffee machines safely.

Qualifications

• Storekeeping and stock management experience described in duties.
• Ability to comply with HACCP documentation and food safety procedures.
• Ability to work with ward staff to ensure timely patient meals.

Responsibilities

• Main role will be storekeeper, ensuring orders, accepting deliveries, stock rotation, delivery to wards and retail outlets of store orders.
• Comply with HACCP documentation and health & safety practices.
• Use dishwashers, Burlodge trolleys, and coffee machines safely.
• Work with ward staff to ensure patient meals are served on time within protected mealtime schedules.
• Communicate politely with patients, staff and visitors and assist with questions.
• Take and record food temperatures and maintain HACCP records.
