Facilities Assistant
Location: Preston (with regular travel to other offices)
Start Date: End of July / Early August
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (35 hours per week)
Reporting to: Facilities Manager
We’re looking for a proactive, reliable Facilities Assistant to join our growing team and help keep our offices running smoothly. Based primarily in Preston, this role will also involve regular travel to our other offices. As part of a team that will expand from two to three, you’ll play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and well-organised working environments across all our sites.

Supporting the maintenance and cleanliness of the offices, including restocking supplies and liaising with contractors
Carrying out small repairs, moving office furniture, and setting up workstations (DIY training provided)
Building strong relationships across the business by helping improve processes and the work environment
Assisting with post, archiving, reception cover, and general facilities tasks
Supporting health & safety checks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (training provided)
Travelling between offices as needed (mileage paid)
A hands-on and practical individual who is happy to get involved in all aspects of the role
Friendly and approachable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Well-organised, proactive, and with a keen eye for detail
Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Flexible and willing to support occasional out-of-hours work
