Job summary

Compass Group UK&I / Medirest is hiring a Facilities Assistant to support healthcare site operations on a part-time, zero-hours basis. You will work with the facilities team to keep the site well maintained and safe, while representing the Compass brand in patient and staff areas.

You’ll handle minor repairs, assist with contractor sign-in, and help open or close the building. The role values reliability, clear communication, and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Responsible for ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair, inclusive of general external maintenance tasks.
• Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process, inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in correctly, and signed out, and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules
• Responsible for opening and/or closing the building where required
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a part time basis, contracted to zero hours per week.
