Job summary

Medirest is recruiting a dedicated Facilities Assistant to support the smooth operation of Healthcare services on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week. You will work with the facilities team to maintain high standards of facility management and contribute to a culture that invests in people and recognises effort.

The role includes rotating shifts, strong focus on Health & Safety, and representing the Compass Group UK&I brand within NHS trusts and private hospitals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar facilities role within a healthcare environment preferred.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and shifts.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Demonstrates reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure exterior of the site is clean and in good repair.
• Assist facilities team with contractor control, sign-in/out and site policy compliance.
• Open and close the building as required.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image.
• Comply with Health & Safety regulations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks


• Responsible for ensuring the exterior of the site is in a clean, tidy and reasonable state of repair, inclusive of general external maintenance tasks.


• Assisting the facilities team with the control of contractor's process, inclusive of ensuring contractors are signed in correctly, and signed out, and that everyone is adhering to site policies and rules


• Responsible for opening and/or closing the building where required


• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image


• Complying with Health & Safety regulations
