Job overview

We are now recruiting to one Facilities Assistant positions at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital to join the Facilities Team to carry out a comprehensive range of tasks throughout a busy community hospital.

We are looking for caring, compassionate, hardworking and flexible team members that are committed to enhancing our patient experience.

All staff working for UHDB play a key role in the organisation. You must possess good Communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team and have a can-do attitude.

Must be flexible and willing to support the services.

Contracted 35 hours per week, working on a 6 week rota, covering shifts from 07:00 - 21:30, including weekends.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of a Facilities Assistant working at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital are to work as part of Facilities and ward/department teams to carry out a variety of tasks associated with portering, waste, cleaning, receipt and distribution, patient catering and Help desk. This can be a physically challenging role.

Must have a good understanding of customer care and be able to communicate well with patients, staff and visitors.

Similar work experience and a Food Safety Certificate are desirable but not essential, skills and technical training will be given.
