Job summary

Nicholas Associates is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for curtain wall, glazing, aluminium windows and doors in Edinburgh. You will protect commercial interests and drive profitability across façade projects, working closely with directors and project teams.

Experience in façade construction and strong negotiation skills are essential to successfully manage contracts, variations and final accounts while maintaining client and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within construction.
• Façade experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge.
• Track record of delivering profitable projects.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant Quantity Surveying or Construction qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of façade projects from pre-construction to final account.
• Administer contracts, variations, valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
• Maximise project profitability through effective cost control and commercial management.
• Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risk.
• Manage client, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, cash flow, and financial performance.
