Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking a Quantity Surveyor - Facades to oversee commercial and financial aspects of cladding projects, including wall cladding, rain screen systems and SFS. You will work remotely for UK projects and drive cost control from tender through final accounts.

The role requires experience in building envelope, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple schemes up to £30m.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as a Quantity Surveyor within building envelope.
• Ideally experience with facades and/or cladding.
• Re-clad experience would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to work well autonomously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Familiar with fast-paced environments with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Deal with various cladding systems such as wall cladding, rain screen cladding and SFS.
• Manage commercial and financial aspects of multiple construction projects.
• Prepare cost estimates, valuations, financial reports, variations, and final accounts.
• Support procurement activities including tender analysis and subcontractor appointments.
• Carry out regular site visits, monitor progress and identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal project teams.
• Facilitate designs for projects up to £30m.

The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Facades will involve:

• Quantity Surveyor position dealing with various cladding systems such as:, wall cladding, rain screen cladding and SFS
• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of multiple construction projects, ensuring costs are controlled and budgets are maintained
• Prepare cost estimates, valuations, financial reports, variations, and final accounts.
• Support procurement activities, including tender analysis, subcontractor appointments, and contract administration
• Carry out regular site visits, monitor project progress, and identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Facilitating the designs for projects that could range in value up to £30m

The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor - Facades with:

• Must have experience as a Quantity Surveyor within building envelope
• Ideally have experience with facades and/or cladding
• Re clad experience would be high advantageous
• Ability to work well autonomously
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• High levels of attention to detail and organisation
• Familiar with working in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple projects at any one time
