Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for its Manchester projects. You will deliver cost planning, commercial control, and value management across live schemes, working closely with the Commercial Manager and delivery teams.

The role requires at least 5 years' experience in rainscreen, facades, cladding or full envelope, with strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and excellent cost reporting. Flexible working options may be available.

Qualifications

• A Level or equivalent standard of education.
• Construction sector qualifications.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Manager in overseeing project performance.
• Prepare and manage project cost plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Draft, submit and agree interim valuations and final accounts.
• Prepare applications for payment accurately and on time.
• Value and agree variations with clients and supply chain partners.
• Assist in negotiating contracts, warranties, and commercial terms.
• Input to procurement and subcontractor management.
• Produce regular cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Attend site and client meetings to provide commercial insight.
• Mentor junior members of the commercial team.
