Job summary

Keyman Personnel is recruiting an Estimator to join an established specialist re-cladding contractor. The role focuses on façade remediation and external wall replacement in residential and social-housing sectors with a clear project pipeline.

We would like candidates with social housing experience and familiarity with main/refurbishment contractors or façade specialists. Hybrid office attendance is available, with two to three days in the office for experienced estimators.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating in social housing refurbishment or faade projects.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and tender information.
• Strong procurement knowledge for subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for faade remediation and re-cladding projects.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Produce accurate take-offs and bills of quantities.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturers.
• Assess labour, material, access and preliminary costs.
• Identify commercial risks, exclusions, qualifications and opportunities.
• Prepare tender submissions and supporting information.
• Work closely with the commercial, design and operational teams.
• Attend tender meetings, site visits and pre-contract discussions.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and pricing information.
• Support handovers to delivery and commercial teams following successful tenders.
• Assist with value engineering and alternative façade solutions.
