Job summary

ASFD Ltd, the design and engineering arm of McMullen Facades and part of the JRL Group, seeks an engineer to design state-of-the-art cladding systems for UK projects. You will collaborate with clients and authorities, lead thermal and acoustic reviews, and mentor junior staff.

The role involves travel across sites and offices in the UK, with a focus on delivering high-quality, regulated facade solutions and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ideally Chartered).
• Experience in cladding industry preferred.
• Proficiency with thermal, condensation, and acoustic assessment tools.
• Knowledge of glass requirements to meet performance targets.
• Problem solving with critical thinking for solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering of state-of-the-art cladding systems across projects.
• Engage with Clients, statutory bodies and stakeholders.
• Support design development with thermal and acoustic reviews.
• Mentor and support younger professionals.
• Travel as required.
