Job summary

Multiplex is seeking a Package Manager to lead and deliver Facade packages within time, budget and quality targets on landmark projects in the UK. You will coordinate design, procurement and construction activities and manage multiple subcontractors to ensure project success.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving and project-management capabilities, with a focus on value engineering, cost control, and effective stakeholder engagement to deliver results on complex façade packages.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing Facade packages within construction/engineering environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with cost management, procurement and contract negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for financial management of assigned packages, including cost control and forecasting.
• Review and approve subcontractor applications and payments.
• Drive value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Oversee procurement activities and manage supplier contracts.
• Lead package planning aligning design, procurement and construction.

This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management capabilities to coordinate multiple stakeholders, drive performance, and ensure project success. Key responsbilities will include:Take full accountability for the financial management of assigned packages, ensuring cost control, forecasting accuracy, and budget adherence.Review and approve subcontractor applications, ensuring payments align with contract agreements and project progress.Drive value engineering initiatives, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and performance.Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.Ensure procurement activities align with project needs, negotiating and managing supplier contracts effectivelyAssist in monitoring the performance of subcontractors and reporting on progress to senior management.Lead package planning, ensuring design, procurement, and construction activities are effectively coordinated.Oversee subcontractor performance, monitoring deliverables, compliance, and alignment with project specifications.Embrace a quality and safety by design approach to design management and subcontractor procurement.Familiarise and contribute to project carbon and sustainability targets, ensuring subcontractor procurement and performance algins to project obligations e.g BREEAM, WELL and NabersManage interfaces between different project disciplines, ensuring seamless integration of design, manufacturing, and construction phases.Drive health, safety, and quality compliance, conducting audits, risk assessments, and pre-start meetings as required.Maintain strong communication with clients, ensuring transparency on project progress, challenges, and key milestones.What do I need to be successful in the roleProven experience in managing Facade packages within a construction or engineering environment.Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost management, procurement, and contract negotiation.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work under pressure, solve problems proactively, and drive results.A note on diversity:Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings.
