Job summary

Decron Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator (Facades) to produce accurate tender submissions for rainscreen cladding and facade refurbishment across commercial and public sectors. You will work from surveys, drawings and specs to build robust cost plans and bids, coordinating with suppliers and the design team to ensure competitive pricing and value engineering where appropriate.

The role reports to the Estimating Manager, requiring deep knowledge of rainscreen systems and the ability to

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Estimator experience in rainscreen/facade sectors.
• Experience pricing refurbishment and overcladding, incl. occupied buildings.
• Proven knowledge of rainscreen systems and proprietary products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Analyse drawings/specifications to determine quantities and costs.
• Price ranges of rainscreen systems (ventilated cladding, overcladding, curtain wall).
• Evaluate tenders for risk, programme and buildability; suggest value engineering.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities and cost breakdowns for bids.
• Conduct pre-tender surveys of facades to identify condition and scope.
• Identify latent defects and fire safety considerations affecting cost.
• Attend site visits and design meetings to support refurb proposals.
• Liaise with clients, architects and engineers to resolve queries.
