Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD in Maidstone is assisting a well-established rainscreen, facade, roofing and cladding contractor to appoint a Designer. You’ll produce detailed 2D construction drawings for rainscreen facade, roofing and cladding packages, with elevation, plan and section drawings, and coordinate with suppliers and installers.

You’ll work on live commercial and industrial projects across London and the South East, travel to sites, attend surveys, liaise with clients and write

Qualifications

• Proven design experience in rainscreen facades, cladding, roofing or building envelope systems.
• Able to produce clear, accurate drawings from surveys and briefs.
• Comfortable managing multiple live projects concurrently and liaising with clients.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D construction drawings for rainscreen facade, roofing and cladding packages.
• Prepare elevation, plan, section and setting-out drawings.
• Develop panel and sub-grid layouts from surveys and design information.
• Coordinate with suppliers and installers and support fabrication-friendly detailing.
• Carry out material take-offs and coordinate with estimating on quantities.
• Attend site to carry out surveys and photographic records.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, architects, engineers and suppliers.
• Review technical specifications, U-values and system information from manufacturers.
• Maintain project documentation including drawing registers, RFIs and change records.
• Issue technical submissions and updated drawings to clients and project teams.
