Job summary

Fetch Recruit is seeking an experienced Facade Designer for a client in Hertfordshire. The role focuses on producing precise drawings, elevations, and fabrication details for rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, and facade systems.

The candidate will develop practical, cost-effective solutions for complex interfaces, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from early tender stages to delivery, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in facade design or manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or BIM.
• Sound knowledge of cladding types, modern building materials, and practical site assembly.

Responsibilities

• Design and detailing: produce precise technical drawings, fabrication details, and elevations for rainscreen cladding and curtain walling.
• Develop cost-effective, practical solutions for complex architectural interfaces and subframe systems.
• Coordinate with project managers, structural engineers, architects and site teams from tender through construction delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with health, safety, and industry regulatory requirements.
