Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our marine manufacturing team in Fareham. You will weld and fabricate from engineering drawings, using MIG, TIG and ARC processes to produce bespoke components.

The role requires aluminium welding experience, reading drawings, and a safe, quality-focused approach. Working hours are Mon-Fri with overtime opportunities and a company pension. You will work closely with engineers and fabricators to ensure projects are completed on time.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator.
• Aluminium welding and fabrication experience is essential.
• Minimum 3 years' MIG welding experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' fabrication experience preferred.
• Competent in MIG, TIG and ARC welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physically capable of lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.
• Relevant welding/fabrication qualifications or certifications would be advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

• £17.50 - £19.50/h DOE (Approx.£36,400 - £40,560 per annum)
• Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
• Regular overtime available
• Up to 10 hours overtime per week at x1.5 rate (Approx.£26.25 - £29.25/h)
• Flexible overtime opportunities
• 21 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
• Annual Christmas shutdown of approximately 2 weeks (of which Annual leave will be needed to use for)
