This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company specializing in Security / Access Control Systems for some of the UK's largest Utility companies. We are looking for an ambitious Fabricator / Welder to help develop the business during an exciting growth phase.

There may be a requirement to attend sites across the UK, so a valid and clean driver’s license is essential.

Essential Competencies

• Current CSCS card
• Valid driving license
• At least 2 years' experience in fabrication, interpreting drawings to finished products, working on bespoke and architectural metalwork
• Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
• Ability to weld (MIG and MMA for site)
• Ability to work on bespoke orders from drawing to finished product independently
• Estimating skills
• Good knowledge of fabrication techniques and welding methods
• Understanding of subcontracting procedures and practices
• Knowledge of Health & Safety standards

Role & Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding of industrial structures, reading and implementing technical drawings
• Cutting, bending, welding, finishing, and quality inspection
• Ensuring workshop health & safety
• Completing quality control and test inspection documents on time
• Practicing material sustainability (reuse and recycle) to reduce waste
• Ensuring installed services and equipment comply with contract documentation
• Recording and reporting defective materials and substandard workmanship
• Assessing additional staffing and resources needed
• Reporting project scope changes and risks, assisting in contingency planning
• Following best practices for project execution and management
• Some travel may be required for installation phases
