Job summary

Poolhall Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading manufacturing client to recruit an experienced Fabricator Welder for heavy-gauge structural steel fabrication. This role focuses on MIG welding of large-scale assemblies to precise drawings and specifications.

You will work Monday to Friday, with a temp-to-perm path and a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork on varied projects including beams, staircases, and frames in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Strong MIG welding background with structural steel, including beams, staircases, balustrades, portal frames, and other large structural assemblies.
• Proven fabrication experience using detailed engineering drawings.
• Able to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
• High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised work environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate heavy-gauge structural steelwork to drawing specifications.
• Perform MIG welding on large assemblies.
• Inspect fabricated components for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Assist with on-site assembly and fit-up as required.
• Maintain clean and safe working area and comply with site safety rules.

Poolhall Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading manufacturing client to recruit an experienced Fabricator Welder. This position involves MIG welding and the fabrication of heavy-gauge structural steelwork for a range of large-scale projects.

Position Overview

• Type: Temp-to-Perm

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 07 30

• Experience working to BSEN1090 EXC2/3 standards is highly advantageous.

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong MIG welding background with structural steel, including beams, staircases, balustrades, portal frames, and other large structural assemblies.

• Proven fabrication experience using detailed engineering drawings.

• Confident in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings.

• High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organised work environment.
