Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established metal fabrication and manufacturing business in their search for a Fabricator Welder to work in Widnes. The role involves MIG welding and fabrication of enclosures, guards and load-bearing structures in a busy manufacturing environment.

You will read engineering drawings and follow written instructions, operating fabrication machinery and carrying out repairs on returned products.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fabricator Welder and able to read engineering drawings.
• Proficient in MIG welding and fabrication with plate/box/structural steel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding and fabrication work from drawings and instructions.
• Fabricate enclosures, guards and load-bearing structures.
• Operate fabrication equipment and repair returned products.

Job Details

Pay: £16.27 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm, half day Friday

Duration: Temp to Perm

Benefits: Permanent position available with a generous holiday allowance

Job Role: As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out MIG welding and fabrication work within a busy manufacturing environment. The Fabricator Welder will work from engineering drawings and written instructions to manufacture a range of enclosures, guards and load-bearing structures. Duties will also include operating fabrication equipment and carrying out repair work on returned products. This Fabricator Welder role offers the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• MIG welding experience
• Fabrication experience working with plate, box sections and structural steel

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding, NVQ or equivalent qualification
• Experience using press brakes, pillar drills and manual propane cutters
• Previous experience within a heavy fabrication environment
