Orbital Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder in Derby to join a well-established engineering company. The role offers overtime, a potential long-term permanent position, and an immediate start.

You will fabricate and weld bespoke sheet metal products, read engineering drawings, and work with press brakes, guillotines, and rollers to meet exacting standards. A positive, proactive mindset and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder.
• Strong TIG and MIG welding skills.
• Experience operating press brakes, guillotines, rollers and similar fabrication machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

Responsabilités

• TIG and MIG welding of sheet metal components.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Producing high-quality fabricated assemblies to specification.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established engineering company in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, friendly and supportive environment with plenty of overtime available and the option of a long-term permanent position.

The Role

As a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder, you'll play a key role in manufacturing components for automated parts handling systems. You'll be involved in the fabrication and welding of bespoke sheet metal products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• TIG and MIG welding of sheet metal components.
• Fabrication using press brakes, guillotines, rollers and other workshop equipment.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Producing high-quality fabricated assemblies to specification.
• Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator / Welder.

Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am - 1:00pm
• Some flexibility with working hours is available.

What's On Offer

• £18.00 per hour PAYE.
• Ltd Company option available at an enhanced rate. (£22 p/h)
