Job summary

Orion Electrotech - Midlands is seeking three Fabricators for a busy manufacturer in Letchworth Garden City. The role offers long-term prospects with overtime and a 13-week temporary-to-permanent pathway.

Fabricators will work on bespoke cabinets and office furniture, performing TIG welding on mild steel and some MIG welding, reading drawings, and completing assemblies from start to finish in their own area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fabricator
• Strong fabrication and assembly experience
• TIG welding experience on mild steel
• Some MIG welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience manufacturing bespoke fabricated products
• Experience using jigs and skin pins
• Competent working with box section and sheet metal
• Ability to build products from raw material through to completed assembly
• High attention to detail and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Fabricating bespoke cabinets, office furniture and framework assemblies
• TIG welding on 1-3mm gauge mild steel
• Some MIG welding duties
• Manufacturing products from start to finish within your own work area
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Completing plug welds and stitch welds
• Using jigs and skin pins to assemble and hold materials in place
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard

Fabricator x3 Location: Letchworth Garden City Salary: £15.00 - £17.50 per hour Job Type: Temp to Perm (13 Weeks) Hours: Days

Fabricator Required - Letchworth Garden CityWe are currently recruiting for 3 Fabricators to join a busy and growing manufacturer in Letchworth Garden City. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position with excellent earning potential through regular overtime and the opportunity to become permanent after 13 weeks.

The company manufactures bespoke office furniture, cabinets, frameworks and fabricated assemblies. Every project is different, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys varied fabrication work and seeing a product through from start to finish.

The Fabricator Role

• Fabricating bespoke cabinets, office furniture and framework assemblies


• TIG welding on 1-3mm gauge mild steel


• Some MIG welding duties


• Manufacturing products from start to finish within your own work area


• Working with box section and fabricated components


• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings


• Completing plug welds and stitch welds


• Using jigs and skin pins to assemble and hold materials in place


• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard

Shift Pattern

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm

Overtime

• Time and a Half for weekday overtime


• Time and a Half on Saturdays


• Double Time on Sundays


• Plenty of overtime available

Benefits

• £15.00 - £17.50 per hour DOE
