Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd. is seeking an experienced Fabrication and Welding Lecturer to deliver practical and theory-based sessions at a Further Education college in Yorkshire and the Humber.

You will bring industry experience into the workshop and classroom, helping learners gain skills and confidence to progress. You will plan and prepare lessons, assess learner progress, and support learners throughout their programme within an established team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or equivalent) in fabrication and welding or a closely related discipline.
• Recent industry experience in fabrication and welding.
• A passion for developing others and sharing your industry knowledge.
• Desirable: Teaching qualification.
• Desirable: Experience delivering to learners or apprentices.
• Desirable: IQA qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Delivering practical and theoretical fabrication and welding sessions to learners at a range of levels.
• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Assessing and monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Adapting teaching and learning materials to meet individual learner needs.
• Maintaining a safe and well-organised workshop environment.
• Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications and progress onto their next steps.
