Dovetail and Slate is seeking a Fabrication & Welding Lecturer for a permanent, full-time role in Cumbria. You will deliver engaging theory and practical sessions, bringing industry experience into the classroom and workshop to help learners build essential fabrication and welding skills.

You will join a team of tutors, supporting students from school leavers to apprentices and mature learners, shaping the next generation of skilled tradespeople while maintaining a rigorous safety culture.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Fabrication & Welding required.
• Significant industry experience in fabrication and welding.
• Relevant trade qualifications in fabrication and welding preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver high-quality theoretical and practical fabrication and welding lessons.
• Assess and monitor student progress with constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for industry-recognised qualifications and assessments.
• Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop in line with health and safety requirements.
• Integrate up-to-date industry practice and standards into teaching.
• Contribute to development of course materials and schemes of work.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to keep skills current.
