Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd in the West Midlands is seeking a Fabrication and Welding Lecturer for a temporary contract starting October 2026. You will deliver practical workshop sessions and classroom theory across fabrication and welding programmes, supporting learners of varying ages and abilities to build technical skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

Level 3 vocational qualification in fabrication and welding or a closely related discipline.
Substantial hands-on industry experience
A genuine interest in developing others and sharing your trade knowledge

Responsibilities

Delivering engaging practical workshop and theory sessions across fabrication and welding programmes.
Planning lessons, schemes of work and learning resources.
Assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback to support progression.
Tracking learner progress through tutorials and reviews.
Maintaining a safe, organised workshop that reflects industry standards.
Promoting employability skills, professionalism and safe working practice.
