Job summary

ALTEN LTD - UK is seeking an experienced engineer to provide technical oversight and manufacturing support for fabrication suppliers. The role covers welding guidance, inspection planning, and QA to ensure compliance with project requirements.

You will interface with engineering, quality, and project teams to drive manufacturing excellence and address production challenges across the fabrication lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
• Welding qualification or CSWIP certification desirable.
• Experience in regulated industries (heavy engineering, defence, nuclear, energy, oil & gas).
• Experience reviewing fabrication documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to fabrication suppliers throughout manufacturing activities.
• Review drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Support resolution of production and fabrication issues.
• Ensure processes comply with requirements.
• Participate in manufacturing readiness reviews and technical assessments.
• Provide guidance on welding processes and review WPS/PQR.
