Job Title: Fabrication Technician

Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician for a longstanding client based in Bedford, specializing in automated engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Carry out fabrication preparation processes.
2. Use fabrication and grinder tools.
3. Ensure metal components are prepared, clean, and scratch-free.
4. Load, unload, and operate automated washers.
5. Support the welding and fabrication team.
6. Use of pillar tools.
7. Support learning and development within the sheet metal department.

Requirements

• Experience in fabrication work.
• Knowledge of fabrication, grinder, and pillar tools.
• Flexible approach to work with strong attention to detail.
• Trustworthy and confident to work independently.
• Based within a commutable distance of Bedford.
• Full UK driving license is beneficial.

Shift Pattern and Working Hours

This role requires working a late shift pattern from 14:00 to 00:00 (4 PM to 12 AM), totaling 40 hours per week. The shift pattern includes 4 days on, 3 days off, with one weekend per month. If you are unable to work these hours, please do not apply.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 DOE.
• Holiday entitlement: 22 days plus bank holidays.
