Bennett and Game are currently seeking a skilled Fabrication Technician for a longstanding client based in Bedford, operating within the automated solutions sector of the engineering industry.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Fabrication Technician with a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing. The ideal candidate should be flexible, trustworthy, confident working independently, and attentive to detail.

Please note: This role involves a late shift pattern (14:00 to 00:00, 40 hours per week). If you are unable to work these hours or one weekend per month, please do not apply.

• Perform fabrication preparation processes.
• Operate fabrication and grinder tools.
• Ensure metal components are prepared, clean, and scratch-free.
• Load, unload, and operate automated washers.
• Support the welding and fabrication team.
• Use pillar tools.
• Have experience in fabrication.
• Knowledge of fabrication, grinder, and pillar tools.
• Willingness to learn new processes within the sheet metal department.
• Be based within a commutable distance of Bedford.
• Holding a full UK driving licence is beneficial.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 DOE.
• Working hours: 14:00 to 00:00 (40-hour rolling pattern).
• Shift pattern: 4 days on, 3 days off, with one weekend per month.
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays.
