American Machining & Fabrication, a reputable metal fabrication company, is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding, grinding, and stick welding as needed. This position requires attention to detail, precision, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

• Grind and finish welds to meet quality and cosmetic standards.

• Conduct stick welding as needed for specific projects or materials.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine welding requirements.

• Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper adjustments for material type and thickness.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations.

• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and conformance to project specifications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues as they arise.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MIG welding, with additional experience in grinding and stick welding .

• Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and precision.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Certification in MIG welding is a plus.
