Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Leeds, UK is seeking a Fabrication Estimator to develop their skills in design, development, fabrication and product assembly services. You will manage sales accounts, maintain clear customer communication, and ensure drawings and specifications are loaded into systems.

You will liaise with suppliers for costings, raise works orders, work with design and estimating teams, manage drawing records, and support SOP creation with production managers, while delivering quality and

Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD or sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Strong IT skills, especially MS Office.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.
• Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication/negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with sheet metal materials (steel, aluminium, stainless) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process customer enquiries through to quotations and communicate results to customers.
• Manage customer relationships and ensure clear communication.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Fabrication Estimator wanting to develop their skills further and progress their career. Our client is a leading UK Manufacturer specialising in design, development, fabrication and product assembly services, based on strong foundations of many decades of expertise.

We are looking for exceptional candidate who will be managing sales accounts, ensuring customer communication is maintained while ensuring that drawings, specifications and customer specific requirements are accurately loaded into the systems. Main requirements for the successful Fabrication Estimator:

• Process customer enquiries through to the preparation of quotations on software (for which database training will be provided) and communication to customers.
• Managing customer relationships to ensure all things are clearly communicated.
• Liaising with material and component suppliers to obtain costings.
• Raising works orders for issue to production.
• Working with the existing design, estimating and customer management team.
• Looking after and holding clear drawing records / packages on both, server and production areas.
• Maintaining close relationship with the production managers to understand build procedures leading to the creation of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Ensuring that quality and attention to detail is the driving force behind all aspects of the role.

About successful Fabrication Estimator:

• Previous AutoCad or sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Excellent IT skills particularly using Microsoft Software.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and in fast-paced, dynamic multi-functional office environment.
• Excellent negotiating skills with good verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with various sheet metal materials and manufacturing process, including steel, aluminium and stainless steel is desired.
