Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring a Maint/Joinery Operative to service multiple sites in the Govan area. You will perform reactive and planned maintenance across eight sites, focusing on joinery tasks and general upkeep.

The role demands reliable, practical hands-on skills and a commitment to safety and quality. You will join a large facilities management team, reporting to a site supervisor, working standard hours with potential on-site duties across sites.

Qualifications

• Joinery/carpentry experience in a Handyperson / Maintenance Operative role.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
• Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability of the service delivery.
• Complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly.
• Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, monitoring workmanship to meet standards.
• Support the site supervisor with an integrated approach for delivering all contracted services, safely, on time, within budget and to required quality.

About The Role:

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (37.5 hours). The successful candidate will have joinery / carpentry experience, where they will be working within the Govan area across 8 sites carrying out reactive and PPM tasks.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
