Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Operative with joinery experience to join our team in the Govan area, covering eight sites. You’ll carry out reactive and planned preventive maintenance tasks to ensure service standards are met.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 (37.5 hours). Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to work independently or as part of a team to deliver quality workmanship across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Joinery or carpentry experience required for hands-on maintenance work.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within contract SLAs & KPIs.
• Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability.
• Complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly.
• Undertake contractor control duties, monitoring workmanship and compliance.
• Assist the site supervisor in delivering all contracted services safely, on time and within budget.

About The Role:

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (37.5 hours)

The successful candidate will have joinery / carpentry experience, where they will be working within the Govan area across 8 sites carrying out reactive and PPM tasks.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.


• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.


• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly


• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.


• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
