Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland in Glasgow is seeking a hands-on maintenance operative with joinery/carpentry experience to cover 8 sites in the Govan area, carrying out reactive and preventive maintenance tasks.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30. You will complete service sheets, monitor contractors, and support site supervision to ensure delivery of safe, on-time services within budget and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Joinery/carpentry experience in reactive and PPM tasks.
• Right to Work in the UK is required.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within SLAs & KPIs.
• Contribute to contract profitability and overall service delivery.
• Complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks.
• Undertake contractor control duties, monitoring workmanship to meet standards.
• Assist the site supervisor in delivering services safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality.

About The Role

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (37.5 hours)

The successful candidate will have joinery / carpentry experience, where they will be working within the Govan area across 8 sites carrying out reactive and PPM tasks.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract-defined time SLAs & KPIs.
• Provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• To complete service sheets and update site compliance logbooks accordingly
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered, safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
