Job summary

GH Engage Limited in City of London is recruiting a Fabric Technician to join the in-house engineering team at a major secure organisation. This is a permanent, site-based Facilities Management role working Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00, 35 hours per week, offering a strong salary and benefits package.

Typical duties include planned and reactive fabric maintenance, carpentry and joinery, doors and ironmongery, decorating and basic plastering, ceilings/partitions/flooring, minor plumbing, site

Qualifications

• Experience as Fabric Technician or Building Fabric Engineer or similar.
• Good all-round building maintenance skills in commercial/ FM environments.
• Strong health & safety awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive fabric maintenance.
• Carpentry and joinery tasks and door/ironmongery work.
• Decorating, plastering, ceilings, partitions and flooring.
• Minor plumbing repairs and general building defect repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and oversee contractors.

Fabric Technician - Facilities Management

City of London | £33,390 Basic | Potential Earnings c.£39,400 + Overtime + Exceptional Pension & Benefits

GH Engage are recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join the in-house engineering team at a major secure organisation in the City of London.

This is a permanent, site-based Facilities Management role working Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00, 35 hours per week, offering excellent work-life balance alongside a strong salary and benefits package.

Duties

• Planned and reactive fabric maintenance
• Carpentry and joinery
• Doors, locks and ironmongery
• Decorating and basic plastering
• Ceilings, partitions and flooring
• Minor plumbing repairs
• General building defects and repairs
• Site inspections and identifying remedial works
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Supporting and overseeing specialist contractors where required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fabric Technician, Building Fabric Engineer or similar
• Good all-round building maintenance skills
• Experience within commercial, corporate or Facilities Management environments
• Strong health & safety awareness
• Reliable, professional and comfortable working within a secure environment

Salary & Package

• £33,390 basic salary
• 8% flexible benefits allowance - approx. £2,670
• Potential 10% annual bonus - approx. £3,340
• Total potential annual cash earnings: approx. £39,400
• 26 days annual leave, with the option to purchase up to 12 additional days
