Job summary

P&G Gillette in Reading is seeking a dedicated Fabric Engineer to maintain the R&D building's and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with health & safety and codes of practice.

You will support the Contract Manager as the principal Fabric Engineer for the Research & Development Buildings and work with the client to deliver engineering excellence across all building services.

Qualifications

• Must understand and have knowledge of current Building Service Systems and contingency procedures with Health & Safety & Codes of Practice.

Job description

Provision of all-round Fabric Engineer, maintaining all the R&D building’s and infrastructure at P&G Gillette, Reading. Must have an understanding & knowledge of all current Building Service Systems and contingency procedures, which comply with Health & Safety & Codes of Practice.

It is the Fabric Engineers role to support the Contract Manager by being the dedicated Fabric Engineer for the Research & Development Buildings and an integral member of the team delivering engineering excellence across the full spectrum of services, as well as assisting the wider team and client with tasks outside of the Fabric expertise but within capabilities when required.

The job is 40 hours per week from 08.00 to 16.30. There will also be a need for out of hours works to complete statutory maintenance tasks and to provide permitting and escorting cover for the client’s service providers and an on call rota of 1 in 4 average.
