Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider - Historical Site - South Kensington - £32,000 per annum

CBW is recruiting a Fabric Engineer to work at a historical site near South Kensington Station. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of general fabric trades. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of up to £32,000, overtime, and further training.

Package & Working hours

• Up to £32,000
• Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 17:00 pm
• 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
• Further training

Responsibilities include:

1. General fabric repairs
2. Furniture moves and porterage
3. Painting & Decorating
4. Basic lighting
5. Fixing furniture
6. Hanging pictures & shelves
7. Maintain and update log books
8. Assist the maintenance team on site (e.g., PPMs, fire alarm tests, tap temperature checks, flushing)
9. Escort sub-contractors
10. Undertake basic fabric duties such as touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, minor repairs to cabinets and desks, assembling small equipment like chairs

Qualifications & Skills:

• Painting & Decorating qualification or background (Desirable)
• Knowledge of commercial building maintenance
• Understanding of most building fabric duties
• Good communication skills
• Health & Safety experience
• Basic PC literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritize workload
