About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Fabric Technician with a strong painting and decorating background to join our team in Borehamwood. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality planned and reactive fabric maintenance, with a particular focus on painting, decorating, making good, surface preparation, finishes and general building repairs across a professional client environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, making good, priming and applying suitable finishes
  • Support minor building repairs, basic carpentry, door furniture, fixtures and fittings where needed
  • Complete touch-ups, repairs and planned redecoration works in client-facing areas
  • Respond to reactive fabric maintenance tasks and complete works within agreed timescales
  • Repair and replace wall coverings, ceiling tiles, flooring finishes and other general fabric items as required
  • Liaise with client representatives and site teams to deliver a professional, tidy and customer-focused service
  • Use the PDA system to update jobs, record works completed and maintain clear communication
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with site procedures, risk assessments and health and safety requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • Confident with surface preparation, filling, sanding, priming, emulsion, gloss work and general finishing
  • Previous fabric maintenance experience, including basic repairs, making good and minor building works
  • Experience working in high-profile or client-facing environments
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements including COSHH, Working at Heights and risk assessments
  • Strong attention to detail with pride in delivering a clean, professional finish
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to manage workload effectively
  • Basic IT skills and confidence using job management systems or PDA devices
