Job summary

Invictus Group is seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Technician to join a professional facilities maintenance team. The role involves performing both planned preventative maintenance and reactive fabric repairs to ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard.

This position requires reliability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while supporting an engineering team in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a building services or fabric maintenance role.
  • Good knowledge of building fabric repairs and planned maintenance.
  • Experience in commercial, retail or similar environments is desirable.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible approach with a willingness to support out-of-hours work and call-outs when required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric maintenance across the site.
  • Complete a range of building fabric tasks including carpentry, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, patch repairs and flooring maintenance.
  • Support the wider engineering team with maintenance activities when required.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational requirements.
  • Accurately record completed work using the CAFM system or maintenance job sheets.
  • Identify defects, recommend repairs and suggest improvements where appropriate.
  • Contribute to delivering a high standard of facilities maintenance and customer service.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Fabric Maintenance Technician to join a professional facilities maintenance team.   • Flexible approach with a willingness to support out-of-hours work and call-outs when required
Desirable
  • Relevant qualifications in carpentry, joinery or building maintenance
  • Experience working within large, busy or public-facing environments
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems
