Job summary

Invictus Group is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Fabric Maintenance Technician in the Bicester area. The role involves performing planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs across a diverse property portfolio, ensuring a safe and high-quality environment.

You will join a busy facilities team, carry out carpentry, decorating, general repairs and improvement projects, with a focus on safety, quality and customer service. This is a full-time position with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in carpentry or a related trade.
• Minimum two years post-apprenticeship experience.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or multi-skilled environment.
• Comfortable working at height with powered access equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across multiple sites.
• Complete internal and external painting and decorating works.
• Undertake general building repairs including carpentry and minor plumbing.
• Assist with property improvement projects, refurbishment works and installations.
• Ensure all work follows Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Update and close completed maintenance tasks using the CAFM system.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and personal presentation.
• Support and liaise with specialist subcontractors when required.
• Respond to emergency repairs and participate in the on-call rota where applicable.
• Attend training courses and team meetings for ongoing professional development.

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Fabric Maintenance Technician to join a busy facilities maintenance team. This is a varied role where you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a diverse property portfolio, helping to maintain a safe, high-quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across multiple sites
• Complete internal and external painting and decorating works
• Undertake general building repairs including carpentry, minor plumbing, paving and general maintenance
• Assist with property improvement projects, promotional installations and refurbishment works
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
• Update and close completed maintenance tasks using the CAFM system
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, housekeeping and personal presentation
• Support and liaise with specialist subcontractors when required
• Respond flexibly to emergency repairs and participate in the on-call rota where applicable
• Attend training courses and team meetings while maintaining ongoing professional development

Essential Skills & Experience

• Time-served apprenticeship in carpentry or a relevant trade
• Minimum of two years' post-apprenticeship experience
• Previous experience within a facilities maintenance or multi-skilled maintenance environment
• Comfortable working at height and using powered access equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

Desirable

• Additional trade skills or multi-skilled maintenance experience
• Health & Safety qualifications or safety management training
• Full UK driving licence
