Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Build/Sub-Assembly Technician to join a high-performance Formula 1 environment at Silverstone.

You will precisely assemble mechanical sub-components to engineering specifications, follow technical drawings, and maintain accurate assembly documentation while supporting process improvements and safety standards.

The role is a 3–6 month contract with potential to go permanent, paying £30–£35 per hour (umbrella).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a mechanical build/assembly in motorsport or high-performance engineering.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and build instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality.
• Proficient with hand tools and assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Precision assembly of mechanical sub-components to engineering specifications.
• Follow technical drawings, build instructions and quality procedures.
• Carry out quality inspections and identify defects or issues.
• Record completed work accurately and maintain assembly documentation.
• Support engineering changes and process improvements.
• Assist with problem-solving relating to assembly processes and equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
• Support race preparation and changing operational requirements.
