Job summary

Atlassian Williams F1 Team is seeking a hands-on Component Assembly Technician to join our Williams factory in the UK. You will build, strip and service suspension, brake, steering and drive-train assemblies to tight tolerances, recording data as you go.

You'll work from CAD drawings and use Teamcenter PLM and ERP/MES tools to ensure traceability. Experience in F1, F2 or sportscar racing is preferred, with a trackside progression path possible.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience assembling complex mechanical components to tight tolerances.
• Able to read CAD drawings and interpret engineering data.
• Experience with Teamcenter PLM, lifing systems, or ERP/MES is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Building, stripping and servicing Williams and customer suspension, brake, steering, power unit integration and drive-train components to Engineering and Manufacturing procedure.
• Assessing every component as it comes apart and goes back together, and reporting faults rather than working around them.
• Operating pass-off and test rigs
• Raising assembly and quality issues with the team leader or the relevant design authority
• Building to deadlines set by the race and test calendar, working from the daily work list
• Recording build and component information accurately in our systems, so the life history of every part stands up to scrutiny
• Keeping the workshop and equipment to the standard the work demands
