Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains in Milton Keynes is recruiting an Assembly Technician (Powertrain Sub-Assembly) to join a high-performance motorsport engineering team developing cutting-edge power units for F1.

You will cover all aspects of assembly, build, servicing and maintenance of Power Units, including oil pumps, fuel systems, water pumps, Turbocharger and MGU-K, with activity at the factory and on events when needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate a high level of engine build experience.
• Strong mechanical assembly competence.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow build procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel for internal systems.
• Flexible with travel and shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, build, service and maintain Power Units including oil pumps, fuel systems, water pumps, Turbocharger and MGU-K.
• Operate at the factory and on events as required by the Team Leader.
• Follow technical build processes and complete checklist data entry.
• Collaborate with team members to meet tight deadlines on high-performance motorsport projects.

We are seeking an Assembly Technician (Powertrain Sub-Assembly) to help drive the future of motorsport innovation. You will be based at our state of the art engineering and manufacturing facility in Milton Keynes, designed to produce high-performance Power Units for the 2026 engine regulations.

In this Assembly Technician role, you will cover all aspects of assembly, build, servicing and maintenance of our Power Units including oil pumps-fuel systems-water pumps, Turbocharger and MGU-K, both at the factory and on events if requested by the Team Leader or Trackside Chief Mechanic.

Knowledge and experience required:

• Demonstrate a high level of technical understanding and Engine build experience
• A high level of mechanical assembly competence
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and follow technical build processes and procedures including checklist data entry
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel to enable operation of internal business systems.
• Flexible attitude to travel and working hours (where required)
• Motorsport or high-end automotive experience (desired)

This role is on a 4 on 3 off split across either Wed-Sat or Sun-Wed
