Responsibilities

  • Building to deadlines set by the race and test calendar, working from the daily work list
  • Recording build and component information accurately in our systems, so the life history of every part stands up to scrutiny
  • Keeping the workshop and equipment to the standard the work demands, Work you can point at on Sunday. A Monday to Friday pattern in a part of the business that does not live on the road, with the full run of components across race, test and customer cars rather than one narrow sub-assembly. Direct access to the engineers who design the parts you build, which is the fastest route to understanding why a component is the shape it is.
  • Hands-on experience building complex components or sub-assemblies in F1, F2 or sports car racing. An eye for detail that does not switch off at the end of a long build week. The ability to explain a technical problem clearly to a designer, a team leader or a mechanic, without a long preamble.
