Job summary

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains invites applicants to join a 24-month Quality Engineering Graduate Scheme based in Brixworth. You’ll contribute to the fast-paced, highly collaborative supply chain and gain exposure to Formula 1 programs through a diverse portfolio of parts.

You will work with engineering, purchasing, production, and inspection to resolve issues, improve yield, and ensure on-spec delivery. The scheme offers many benefits and a pathway into motorsport excellence.

Qualifications

• Enrolled on a Mechanical / Automotive / Mechatronics / Motorsport / Aeronautical Engineering degree on course for a 2:1 or higher.
• Strong academic background in Maths/Sciences or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of engineering first principles.
• Hands-on practical experience to complement your studies.
• Self-motivation, adaptability and creativity.
• Willingness to be challenged and expand technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality engineering leadership across parts and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery to specification.
• Supply statistical data to the supply chain to identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-conformances.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to cut cost, lead-time and boost yield.
• Support new part design review processes for quality performance and manufacturability.
• Conduct on-site supplier visits and audits to enable Mercedes AMG HPP approvals for new parts.
• Lead root-cause analysis with robust countermeasures to keep Formula 1 programmes on target.
