Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) invites driven trainees to join a scheme exposing you to Formula 1 programs, owning a diverse portfolio of parts and working with Engineering, Purchasing, Production and Inspection teams.

Qualifications

• Enrolled on a Mechanical/Automotive/Mechatronics/Motorsport/Aeronautical Engineering degree on course for a 2:1
• Strong academic background in Maths or Sciences
• Excellent understanding of engineering first principles
• Hands-on experience to complement your studies
• Excellent communication, self-motivation, adaptability and creativity

Responsibilities

• Quality Engineering leadership of a diverse portfolio of parts/suppliers to resolve problems and ensure on-time delivery
• Supply statistical data to highlight improvement opportunities
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce cost, lead-time and improve yield
• Support new part design reviews to ensure quality and manufacturability
• Expand the supply chain through on-site visits and audits for new part introductions
• Lead root cause analysis with countermeasures to protect F1 programs
