Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited, based at Enstone, is offering a Powertrain Design Student Placement for an upcoming academic year. You will work with seasoned design engineers on CAD modelling, validation, and documentation for powertrain systems, ensuring performance and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes CAD and FEA knowledge, teamwork with simulation and manufacturing, and contributes to ongoing design improvements in a high-performance Formula One setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering as your penultimate year.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of powertrain components using CAD tools.
• Prepare technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and component performance.
• Collaborate with simulation, performance, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Investigate and resolve issues arising from failures or required improvements for the current car.
