Job summary

ALPINE RACING LIMITED is offering a Powertrain Design Student Placement in Enstone for a 1-year program starting July 2027. You will support mechanical design across powertrain systems, work with CAD modelling, and contribute to design validation and documentation to ensure performance and compliance with Formula One regulations.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gain exposure to CAD tools and FEA, and participate in a site assessment in September.

Qualifications

Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and looking for an industry placement as your penultimate year of university.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
Experience with CAD software.
Familiarity with FEA tools and design for manufacturing principles.
Passion for motorsport and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of powertrain components using CAD tools.
Help prepare technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and component performance.
Collaborate with simulation, performance, and manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and integration.
Investigate and resolve issues occurring from any failures or required improvements for the current car.
